Event / Stage & TV Make up

Whether you have morning TV presenting to do or you are invited as stage guest speaker, make up and hair should be adjusted to TV Make up or Event Stage Makeup.

Event / Stage Make up

Stage make up; is much heavier. There is a difference between a personality stage make up and character make up. When it comes to personality make up, I would use more natural shades on eyes – brown, black and peach avoiding purples or blues unless is a character, performer or it is requested. Translucent powders are essentials and bold lip shades could work amazingly. It is about being seen from a far distance but still keep it being you – simply better version of yourself on a stage under bright lights. As stage lights are extremely bright, you could be washed out if no make up is applied and, I do want to enhance your face features. For men’s speakers a gentle grooming seems to be normally enough.

This year, it is the 6th years since I have started working with Walt Disney. Yearly, I looked after Employees Forums guests speakers and directors makeup and hair. Few names I have created personality look – CEO Julie Sneddon, Kathleen Kennedy american producer, Warwick Davies, Ben Sherwood, Disney singers – Alex Maxwell, Shannon Saunders and many more…

TV Make up

For TV make up is the best; using oil-free primers, foundations and setting powders which are specially formulated for HD. An air brush or spray foundation is popular in TV as gives very thin coat of foundation and it is a quick application – so you have an option. Attention to your eyes or lips – but never both as might look a bit too much. Fake lashes is effective for open up your eyes. Adding an extra blush to look lively as lights in studio make you look washed out if you have a pale complexion. On lips, I would use lips stains, long lasting lipstick which don’t budge. Overall, for HD Television all make up should be matte not shimmer with glowing, poreless complexion.

In the past; I have done a personality make up and hair style for Melissa Peachy for Countdown’ on Chanel 4 and on QVC – a live show while a hairdresser was presenting his new range of hair oils on selected models. In Slovakia, I had an opportunity to create personality make up for Klaudia Guzova in JOJ TV.
